Piaget Polo Green

In 1979, Yves G Piaget launched his take on the luxury sports watch, the Polo. Distinctive, streamlined and with a certain relaxed elegance, it quickly captured the attention of the polo crowd, going on to become an emblem of the jet set in the 1980s.

With its cushion-shaped dial set in a rounded case, it remains one of Piaget’s most recognisable models, updated for 2020 in handsome stainless steel with an alluring green dial. This has been rendered using a guilloche decorative technique that creates horizontal stripes, lending a radiant effect to the colour. A distinguished finishing touch comes in the form of pink-gold hands, indexes and date window, with the seconds hand marked with a subtle ‘P’ on its counterweight.

Continuing its chic, retro feel is the integrated stainless-steel bracelet, which features alternating polished and satin-finished surfaces in an ‘H’ link design. The watch is equipped with Piaget’s 1110P self-winding movement, featuring a slate-grey oscillating weight that can be viewed through the sapphire crystal case back.
