Zenith and Land Rover have once again come together to create a limited-edition timepiece celebrating their ongoing partnership, and the new Land Rover Defender.
‘For the next chapter in our partnership with Zenith, we wanted a timepiece that captured the essence of the new Land Rover Defender: modern, durable and highly desirable,’ says Gerry McGovern, Land Rover chief creative officer. ‘With subtle details that capture the character of the new Defender, this for me is the best timepiece we have created with Zenith.’
The Defy 21 Land Rover Edition is a rugged reinterpretation of Zenith’s famous El Primero. This high-frequency chronograph remains one of the most precise more than four decades after it was first launched, able to measure elapsed intervals to the nearest 1/100th of a second.
Limited to the 250 pieces, this new watch presents the movement in a stylish, touch package ready to take on adventures both on and off road. The case is crafted from matte micro-blasted titanium, with the minimalist look finished off with a matching grey dial. For the first time in the Defy 21 line it features a linear power reserve window, with the automatic watch able to run for approximately 50 hours between winding.
Completing the look are two strap options: the hardwearing ‘Adventure’ in textured rubber, and the ‘Country’, which adds a touch of colour with the grey rubber strap in fabric effect featuring orange stitching.
