In the zone: Panerai Luminor BiTempo

Panerai expands its Luminor family with two new GMT watches that bring a contemporary edge to this iconic diving watch

The Luminor, Panerai’s classic diving watch, has gone through many iterations over the decades. Whether incorporating new features or design details, they remain true to the unmistakable essence of this famous timepiece, with its exaggerated cushion-shaped case and bold, highly legible dial.  Two new additions to the family continue in this tradition while bringing a contemporary edge. The new Luminor BiTempo timepieces come with either a matt-black dial or blue sun-brushed version – options whether you prefer a modern, clean look or an added touch of vibrancy. Each is paired with matching alligator leather straps for a luxe finish.

The watch’s handy features have similarly been incorporated into its balanced design with care. Adding a subtle pop of colour is the second time zone hand in vivid cerulean blue, speaking to the GMT function that allows for effortlessly tracking on the time at home when travelling. Meanwhile, the wearer can keep tabs on the watch’s considerable 72-hour power reserve via the sub dial at 5 o’clock, marked with the word “ore” (meaning “hours” in Italian), in a nod to the watchmaker’s country of origin.

As expected from Panerai, it comes with the diving credentials needed for more adventurous aquatic adventures, including its safety lock crown protection device and a water resistance of 300 metres.
