If you need convincing of Hermès’ place alongside the heavyweights of horology, look no further than the latest additions to its H08 lineup.
Conceived by the creative director of Hermès Horloger, Philippe Delhotal, and unveiled at the 2021 edition of Watches and Wonders in Geneva, the H08 welcomes several new colour variations this year in sporty aluminised glass fibre cases.
Now available in vibrant flushes of blue, yellow, green and orange, each colour has been subtly integrated along the watch-glass seal, set in contrast to the model’s gritty, concrete-coloured dial.

The new iterations arrive in the H08’s signature cushion shape, each case sculpted from a blend of carbon fibre and graphene powder in a 39mm size that is both protective and light to wear. Framing the textured dial in black ceramic is a satin-finished bezel, while a black PVD-coated crown flaunts a pop of colour on the mono-pusher at 3 o’clock.

At the heart of the H08 lies the in-house calibre H1837. Composed of 193 parts and 28 jewels, the automatic movement, designed in collaboration with Vaucher Manufacture, a spin-off company of Swiss brand Parmigiani Fleurier which Hermès partially owns, supplies a hefty power reserve of 50 hours. The rotor and bridges are decorated with the brand’s signature H pattern.
Beyond this, Hermès has also introduced a chronograph to the H08 collection, aptly named the H08 Chronograph. This new timepiece opts for alternating smooth and textured finishes, while a titanium bezel has been chosen instead of ceramic, further enhancing its industrial flair.
The case is made from the same carbon and graphene composite as the three-hand models but measures 41mm in size. Enhanced with bright orange accents, the H08 Chronograph sets the stage for a new era in Hermès’ luxury sports watches, fusing intense colour with clean, contemporary design for a bold visual statement on the wrist.
