Piaget Limelight Stella

The watchmaker’s glamorous new take on its Limelight Stella watch takes inspiration from the rich red hues associated with the Chinese holiday, providing a majestic backdrop to the moon phase display at the centre of the dial. The colour provides a striking contrast to the mother-of-pearl dial, finished with a luxe touch of 14 brilliant-cut diamonds, along with a further 126 diamonds around the bezel. The 36mm watch is powered by Piaget’s self-winding 584P movement, and comes presented on a complementary red alligator leather strap.

Piaget Altiplano Year of the Ox

Meanwhile a special version of Piaget’s ultra-thin Altiplano watch looks to the incoming Year of the Ox, with the strong and dependable zodiac animal taking pride of place at the centre of the dial. The watchmaker has enlisted the skills of master enameller Anita Porchet to create this stunningly detailed grand-feu cloisonné masterpiece. The painstakingly intricate decorative technique sees its design built onto the surface of the dial using tiny gold ribbons, creating segments into which the different enamel pigments are inserted. The dial is then fired multiple times under high temperatures, a delicate and precarious process required to capture the depth of colour in the image. The comfortable and svelte design of the watch is possible thanks to Piaget’s 430P movement, which measures in at just 2.1mm thick.
