Day to night: TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 GMT

TAG Heuer proves the versatility of its Aquaracer Professional 300 collection with the addition of a GMT model

When TAG Heuer revamped one of its most popular collections with the launch of Aquaracer Professional 300 last year, it brought a breath of fresh air to this much-loved diving watch. But more than this, with its sleek aesthetic and powerful performance, it proved once again that the timepiece isn’t just for deep-sea adventurers, but is a strong all-rounder even if you’re not planning on taking a dip in the ocean.

The addition of a new GMT model reinforces this versatility, and has been handsomely incorporated into this design that is the ultimate companion whether travelling for business or pleasure. Of course, it still retains its underwater credentials; its 12-sided unidirectional bezel, with a fluted edge for ease of grip, its screw-down crown and water resistance of 300 metres. On top of this, the dual-time function is seamlessly incorporated without compromising on all-important legibility.

The GMT hand is marked out in yellow, in a striking difference from the blue and white palette. The 24-hour scale of the second time zone is shown on the two-tone bezel, going from light to dark as it moves from day to night, with contrasting coloured numerals. Every detail has been considered, with the transition in colour perfectly executed at the point the two meet. Finishing the look in style is the choice of stainless-steel bracelet or deep-blue rubber strap, both fitted with TAG Heuer’s fine adjustment system should you need to fit it over a wetsuit on the go.
