Ever since Breitling created the on-board clock in every Bentley Continental GT in 2003, the Swiss watch brand and the luxury car marque have enjoyed one of the longest lasting partnerships ever between a motoring and horology firm.
To further commemorate the collaboration, on Tuesday 5 March at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland, Breitling announced the release of the Bentley Centenary Limited Edition timepiece to celebrate Bentley’s 100 years of luxury motoring excellence.
Introduced by Adrian Hallmark, chairman and chief executive officer of Bentley Motors, and Breitling CEO Georges Kern, the elegant timepiece is part of the watchmaker’s Premier range and combines elements of Bentley’s heritage alongside Breitling’s distinguished design know-how.
The elegant brown burl elm dial with anthracite sub dials is a nod to the wooden seat found in Bentley’s supercharged 1929 “Blower” Bentley. The contrasting sub dials – at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock – indicate that the watch is powered by Breitling’s flagship Manufacture Caliber 01 – a high-performance, self-winding calibre pioneered by the watchmaker 10 years ago, with an impressive power reserve of around 70 hours that is visible through a unique transparent caseback.
Available in a limited run of 200 18ct red-gold and 1,000 stainless steel, the watch is presented on a brown leather strap with a pattern and stitching inspired by the seats in a Bentley. The stainless-steel version is also available with a stainless-steel strap.
On the left side of the 42mm case is a textured plate engraved with “Bentley” – reminiscent of the one on the dashboard of the historic “Blower” Bentley further commemorating the ongoing partnership between the two historic brands and Bentley’s 100th anniversary.

‘We’re proud of our partnership with Bentley,’ says Kern. ‘Both companies are known for quality, performance and design excellence and both are built on powerful legacies. The Premier Bentley Centenary Limited Edition is a celebration of Bentley’s history, luxury and incredible racing pedigree as well as its important connection to Breitling.’
The launch follows on from last year’s striking release from the partnership, the Premier B01 Chronograph 42 Bentley British Racing Green, and with the mutual respect and admiration clearly visible between the brands, it’s a partnership that looks set to continue. As Hallmark said in Geneva: ‘We both have a passion for the future, and we are looking forward to many more innovative projects together in the coming years’.
