Now more than ever it’s important to stay fit and, crucially, find the motivation to keep active. With the addition of a new Wellness app to its smart Connected watch, TAG Heuer is helping wearers not only set fitness goals, but help them understand how their effort and movement throughout the day is benefiting their bodies.
The watch tracks daily activity including number of steps, exercise intensity and the level of effort, measured through real-time and continuous heart-rate monitoring and calories burned through exercise. The new app also delves deeper into these crucial stats, giving information about how they change over time and placing a focus on long-term and sustainable progress. And with fitness goals and levels very personal to an individual, the app lets you set and adjust your own targets to suit your lifestyle.
With its plethora of features, its little surprise that the TAG Heuer Connected has attracted the attention of sports enthusiasts, so much so that the watchmaker launched a special golf edition last year. This popular model, already packed with a number of handy features for on the pitch, is also getting an upgrade. Its 2D and 3D mapping capabilities have been enhanced with even more details, allowing wearers to visualise more than 40,000 courses from around the world. Meanwhile its new club recommendation tool can suggest the right option based on distance.
The revamp also sees improvement on the handy scoring system, which includes visualising the score in stroke play, stableford, or match play, while a new built-in bluetooth connection on the watch allows for faster synchronisation with your smartphone. Reinforcing its versatility for both casual players and pros, the brand has recently recruited top golfer Tommy Fleetwood as ambassador, who has already been putting it through its paces.
