Brummell Spring 2021

In this issue we invite you to read about exploits both wild and tame, from crossing the Andes in style to driving the latest electric vehicle, strictly defined as a quadricycle.

We look at how a number of enterprising chefs have diversified their talents during lockdown, pivoting to produce dishes to enjoy at home while also using their skills to help local communities. And, on the subject of wellbeing, we explore the latest fitness tech and seek advice on building our own home gym.

We also contemplate the energising, natural mental and physical health benefits of a gentle wild swim; and find out that you don’t have to know how to ride a horse to learn how to play polo.

Travelling from the polo field to the mountains, we enjoy the luxury of summertime Gstaad before the snow falls, and, at a time when – astonishingly – Mars is being probed and its contours collated, we talk to science writer Kate Greene who experienced the unforgiving conditions of living on Mars for months.

We hope you enjoy the issue.
