BEARTREK is a new documentary that sees TV presenter, bear ecologist and conservationist Chris Morgan embark on a journey to observe the world’s most elusive and endangered bears as they roam their spectacular natural habitats. The documentary explores the extraordinary wildlife and unforgettable landscapes of Peru, Canada, Alaska and Malaysia – from the ice-bound Arctic to the rainforests of Borneo and the Andes deserts – and delivers a compelling message about the fate facing the bears that call these places home.
The UK premiere will take place on Wednesday 12 September, at London’s BFI, Southbank and will be hosted by The European Nature Trust (TENT). Tickets to the screening include a cocktail reception with canapés and bowl food from TENT’s fantastic food partners, live music entertainment, a Q&A with Chris Morgan and a live auction with the chance to bid on an incredible bear-watching trip to Asturias, Spain, and Abruzzo, Italy. All proceeds from the event will go to The Uproar Fund to help protect the critically endangered Marsican brown bear of Abruzzo, Italy.
Documentary filmmaking and screenings form a part of TENT’s commitment to support and promote the work of leading conservation organisations. The films TENT produces and promotes capture the incredible beauty, indigenous wildlife and environmental significance of the projects it supports, showcasing the breathtaking wonder of the natural world to audiences through screening and fundraising events.
