Nothing stands still in the House of Dior. Men’s artistic director Kim Jones has reimagined the brand’s masculine sartorial aesthetic, injecting it with a new cosmopolitan energy. In its Modern Tailoring collection, the lines of formalwear are gently blurred, with a selection of contemporary staples infused with hints of work- and sportswear, while the Dior Essentials collection features classic elegance, combining sharp silhouettes with luxurious fabrics. Jones has also reinterpreted the signature bias-cut of Monsieur Dior to create the modern Tailleur Oblique suit – made in the perfect shade of navy for added elegance. Brummell called on the poise of dancer Ed Watson, the longest-serving principal at the Royal Ballet, to help celebrate Dior’s enduring ability to reinterpret its wardrobe greats in a shoot that captures the fluidity and grace of timeless tailoring.
