Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana paid tribute to the pyjamas in their spring/summer 2026 collection, unveiled at The Metropol during Milan Fashion Week.

The creative duo reimagined what is typically considered sleepwear into a versatile wardrobe for both everyday wear and glamorous nights – culminating in a surprise finale, as the Dolce & Gabbana sleepover club took to the streets of Milan.

Their signature striped loungewear – described in the show notes as “its classic, exquisitely Italian interpretation” – became a blank canvas, styled for a range of occasions. Whether paired with an oversized black leather biker jacket, a boxy yellow double-breasted blazer and tie or a mock-croc burgundy trench coat, the lightweight cotton pyjamas were elevated into a symbol of chameleonic, laidback sophistication.

Finishing touches included fur-free fluffy slides and the brand’s iconic Sicilia bags, reinforcing a mood of effortless, naive luxury.

A similar sense of ease permeated the atmosphere at Corneliani’s celebration of the summer solstice, held in the leafy courtyard of Palazzo Durini. American singer-songwriter Devendra Banhart, Nigerian guitarist Keziah Jones and French DJ Mattias Mimoun came together for a powerful musical performance, bringing new depth and nuance to the Corneliani man.

Lightweight fabrics like tropical wool and crepe linen appeared in sartorial silhouettes with effortless grace. Blouson shirts, collarless jackets and roomy trousers in earthy tones lent the looks an organic yet rustic character.

‘We looked back at our roots – tailoring – but from a cooler, younger perspective,’ Corneliani’s style director, Stefano Gaudioso Tramonte, told us.

Elsewhere, Bally tapped into its sportswear heritage with a tennis-inspired collection that reimagined some of its most iconic archival designs. The luxury shoemaker revived the Competition sneaker, an emblematic model worn during the 1992 French Open by Swiss tennis champions Jakob Hlasek and Marc Rosset in their celebrated victory.
