Angelia, a Japanese-Italian restaurant in east London, has just launched an ingredient delivery box. Every Thursday to anyone within the M25, Angelina will deliver an exciting box full of fabulous and harder-to-find Japanese and Italian produce. It’s an excellent choice for more ambitious chefs or anyone who wants some new inspiration for their home cooking. The boxes include an exciting mix of vegetables, fruit, grains along with ingredients and delicacies such as dashi, smoked ricotta, daikon pickles and gyoza skins. Each box includes recipe cards to help customers cook some of Angelina’s favourite dishes at home, including chicken karaage, focaccia or kakuni pork. Customers can also add extra-special ingredients to each box such as Italian cheese and charcuterie, or sashimi-grade tuna. Angelina has also partnered with cookery school and charity Made in Hackney to provide 500 meals a day for the vulnerable in Hackney. The restaurant is also offering takeaways every Friday night for people within a 2.5-mile radius of Angelia.

The London grand dame is launching a selection of at-home delivery services for those craving a slice of luxury and culinary excellence. From 3 June, from Wednesday to Sunday, customers will be able to order make-it-yourself beef wellington hamper from The Grill at The Dorchester. The hamper is £100 for two people and includes a part-prepared beef wellington with instructions and ingredients to finish the dish included

From 10 June, from Wednesday to Sunday, you will also be able to order chef Tom Booton’s signature lobster thermidor tart, a pineapple tarte tatin and a selection of other delicious options. Perfectly matched wines selected by sommelier Christopher Delalonde will also be available for delivery. 

From 1 June The Dorchester’s famous and beloved afternoon tea will also be available for home delivery for £50 per person, or £60 per person to include a 375ml bottle of Veuve Cliquot Yellow Label Brut NV. 

A portion of proceeds will be donated to Manorfield Primary school in Tower Hamlets, with whom The Dorchester has a long-standing social responsibility partnership.

CasaCosta

Lucky west Londoners will be able to order the finest Italian meats, fruit, vegetables, cheese and pantry ingredients from Casa Costa from June. CasaCosta comes from Robert Costa, the restaurateur known from bringing respected steakhouse and butchers, Macellaio RC, to London. Produce and ingredients from CasaCosta are sourced directly from producers across Italy, including coveted Piemontese Fassona beef, Gragono dried pasta and Frantolo di Sant’Agata d’Oneglia olive oil. Produce is packaged in innovative Woolcool insulation, made from biodegradable and compostable wool fibres and which keeps food at the right temperature and safely cossetted during transport.

The acclaimed Mayfair restaurant is launching a collection and delivery service. Executive chef Kerth Gumbs has devised an a la carte menu of reimagined British favourites for delivery to Londoners with Supper and Deliveroo within a three-mile radius of Ormer Mayfair. The menu features the finest UK produce and includes a Sunday Special roast chicken with perfect Yorkshire puddings and all the trimmings for two people to share. Other highlights include Dover sole with smoked salmon mousse, caperberry, leek and roe; beef tartare with smoked mayonnaise and cured egg yolk; and Jersey crab with apple and gingerbread. For dessert Gumbs’ signature apple crumble is available for order as is a dark chocolate brownie with salted caramel popcorn. The beloved Spitalfields restaurant is known for its changing weekly menu and guest chef programme. Now you can bring its innovative cuisine home with Crispin Stores, which features a ‘ready meal’ dinner created by chef Nazmul Hassan to assemble at home. The Michelin-starred east London favourite is offering a new service: the cutely named Homing Pidgin. Homing Pidgin will be serving a changing weekly set menu that can be picked up from the restaurant or delivered in an Uber to be heated and devoured at home. This week’s menu includes cold smoked mackerel with charred asparagus and yuzu kosho buttermilk dressing and crispy fried pork pavé with a Thai-style Waldorf salad with fermented black bean and sour cherry sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Bacardi has joined forces with Deliveroo Editions to create Cocktails At Home, delivering cocktails from some of London’s best bars to your door. Deliveroo Editions is the concept from the delivery service that brings together smaller restaurants in centralised hubs to help them reach new audiences. Cocktails at Home is the first virtual bar Deliveroo Editions has ever tried and will soon be delivering freshly crafted concoctions straight to the doors of thirsty Londoners. Indian kitchen Gunpowder in Spitalfields has launched a refined takeaway offering, serving a generous selection of its favourite dishes designed for sharing at home, with some adapted for delivery by founder Harneet Baweja and his team. The menu features classics such as Nagaland House crispy pork ribs with spicy tamarind sauce and organic tandoor baby chicken served in a rich butter masala sauce, while the restaurant’s signature Maa’s Kashmiri lamb chops dish will be served in the form of a spiced curry. The dessert offering is Gunpowder’s signature Old Monk rum bread and butter pudding with vanilla custard, and craft drinks will also be available for customers picking up their dishes. The Spanish temple to gastronomy has just opened an online shop offering the finest produce and wine for delivery or collection for people in London. The craft distillers have just opened an online shop and nationwide delivery service to bring its range of award-winning spirits straight to your door. This independent eatery in Battersea has launched a few initiatives to help those self-isolating. The team will be putting together a selection of key produce such as milk, bread, eggs and meat for those who can’t get hold of the essentials, as well as batch cooking dishes in-house to deliver anywhere within the SW11 area.
