On Tuesday 17 June, Silo, the world’s first zero-waste restaurant, will mark its 10th anniversary with a one-night-only celebration in partnership with Ruinart. Held at its Hackney Wick outpost, the evening will feature a specially curated six-course menu and a panel discussion exploring sustainable practices in food design.
Silo founder and head chef Doug McMaster has invited long-term friend and artist Joost Bakker to co-curate a lavish six-course menu that reflects the restaurant’s decade-long journey of waste-free dining. Guests can expect nostalgic dishes that revisit Silo’s most imaginative creations.

The experience begins at 6.30pm with a thought-provoking panel featuring McMaster alongside broadcaster and Wildfarmed co-founder George Lamb and Wahaca co-founder Thomasina Miers. Together they will explore a more sustainable future for the food industry.
To accompany the menu, Ruinart will be pouring its Blanc Singulier Edition 18 and Blanc Singulier Edition 19, exclusively selected to celebrate the occasion.
Tickets to the event are currently on sale at OpenTable for £145. Book your tickets here
