JJ Corry Irish Whiskey

JJ Corry Irish Whiskey is Ireland’s first modern whiskey Bonder. As a Bonder, the company does not distil spirit – the traditional process (one that died out around the 1930s after the Irish whiskey industry collapsed) sees a bonder source unaged spirit from distilleries and then age, ‘blend’ and bottle the final result.

JJ Corry seeks out new spirit and rare mature stocks from distilleries all over Ireland, and then uses these as the raw materials for its own multi-award-winning portfolio of innovative blends and single malts.

Founded in 2015 by Louise McGuane, JJ Corry is Ireland’s only all-female founded and led whiskey company. Run from the family farm on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way, JJ Corry has built a diverse library of Irish whiskey flavours that live in its on-site rackhouse (where the barrels enjoy a coastal climate).  As part of her revival of the art of bonding, and to create said library of flavours, McGuane launched a World of Whiskey Bonding initiative, and today she travels around the world in search of unique barrels in which to age JJ Corry whiskey.

The first release from the programme was The Battalion, a limited-edition bottling of 700, made using tequila and mezcal casks to add flavour – a first for Irish whiskey. Bottled in limited numbers, each JJ Corry Irish Whiskey flavour profile tells a story and makes a special addition to any drinks cabinet.
