New restaurant openings are often long awaited and every so often a few come along at once. Now is one of those times. Bob Bob Cité (bobbobricard.com) brings a taste of Bob Bob Ricard’s French country-style cooking (and its signature ‘press for champagne’ button) to the City’s Leadenhall Building, while St John’s Wood is the new home of Maison Soutine – a relaxed neighbourhood Parisian-style restaurant, from the people behind The Wolseley. Elsewhere, Barrafina is set to open Parrillan terrace bar and grill (parrillan.co.uk) at Coal Drops Yard, King’s Cross, where diners can cook select cuts of meat, fish and veg with a bespoke mini charcoal grill alongside a menu created by Barrafina executive chef Angel Zapata Martin. Continuing with the outdoor theme, Japanese hotspot Nobu (nobuhotelshoreditch.com) recently opened its Hanami – a beautiful and tranquil cherry blossom–covered terrace (image above) with a menu of exclusive cocktails, bespoke dishes and afternoon tea.
