The Cointreau Sparkling Margarita

Shake up the traditional margarita with a touch of fizz with this easy-to-follow and impressive cocktail featuring Cointreau, tequila, fresh lime juice, a spoon of syrup, sparkling wine, and optional edible pearlescent powder. With hints of fizz, sweet syrup, and citrus freshness, this margarita tastes as good as it looks and makes the perfect date night tipple to enjoy at home.

Ingredients
20ml Cointreau
30ml Blanco tequila
15ml fresh lime juice
1 bar spoon simple syrup
1 shake edible pearlescent powder (optional, available here)
Sparkling wine to finish

Method

  1. Pour all ingredients directly into a shaker.
  2. Shake and strain into a chilled flute.
  3. Top with sparkling wine and garnish with a lime twist.

 

The Botanist Gin Pomegranate Martini

Add a touch of elegance to your evening with a The Botanist pomegranate martini. This handsome cocktail is filled with sweet and delicate gin botanicals, vermouth and delicious hints of pomegranate, complete with a thyme garnish. Just remember this time it’s stirred, not shaken.

Ingredients
70ml The Botanist Gin
1 heaped tbsp fresh pomegranate arils
15ml dry vermouth
Ice
Thyme to garnish

Method

  1. Muddle the pomegranate arils with the gin and allow it to steep (1-2 hours). Add the infused gin and vermouth to a mixing glass with ice and stir to chill.
  2. Fine strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
  3. Garnish with a sprig of fresh thyme.

For a delicious weekend treat that’s perfect to share with a loved one, replace your morning coffee with a Metaxa Breakfast in Bed. Ingredients
50ml METAXA 12 Stars
15ml Cointreau
10ml Crème de cacao
1 spn of rose marmalade
20ml lemon juice
2 dashes chocolate bitters

Method

  1. Shake, double strain and serve in a coupette glass
  2. Garnish with a rose petal

125ml Served Raspberry
15ml Courvoisier Cognac VS
5ml orange essence
A dash of Peychaud’s Bitters
Orange wedge
Cubed ice
