The background
Launched five years ago in Hong Kong and Singapore by fitness enthusiasts Charlotte and Pete Fisher along with Josh Li and fine-dining restaurant chef, Serge Theriault, Nutrition Kitchen brings its convenience concept to London. Each dish is designed by body composition experts with the exact macros tailored to the individual and their needs. The concept is simple, head to the website and choose your plan, this is dependant on how active you are and whether you are male or female and whether you want to lose weight or build muscle, then choose the length of time you want to receive the service for and how many meals a day (up to three, including sides) and the menu will then be tailored to your specification.  Nutritionally balanced meals are prepared by chefs in the Nutrition Kitchen production kitchen and are diverse and exciting, banishing any notion that healthy food has to be boring.

The package
Brummell trialled the service for five days, with breakfast, lunch and dinner delivered by hand every morning. Nutrition information and easy to follow heating instructions were printed on a card on the fully recyclable 100 per cent biodegradable sugar cane packaging. No single-use plastic in sight.

The food
We all dream of being able to click our fingers and have our food ready and waiting on the table and this is what a delivery from Nutrition Kitchen feels like. A healthy mix of good fats, protein and nutrient-rich greens with every dish mean you know you are tucking into something beneficial and consistently tasty. Breakfasts championed the humble egg with dishes such as spinach omelette with mushrooms and cheese, egg white scramble with courgettes and peppers, and scramble egg, smoked salmon and asparagus (Brummell’s Friday fave). Lunches provided a mouth-watering variety of dishes inspired by international cuisine, including a delectable Thai style chilli lime roasted sole with coconut green curry vegetables and Korean BBQ chicken with bok choy, shitake mushroom, cabbage and kimchi. Dinner is just as diverse: Goan fish masala with turmeric braised cauliflower, carrots, green beans, peas and brown rice, a perfectly baked Icelandic cod with chermoula marinade and roasted Moroccan veg and a deliciously succulent hunk of kombu poached tuna with spinach, green beans and yuzu dressing.

The price
From £7.85 per meal, it gets cheaper the longer you take up the package for
