Artistic cuisine at StreetXO

One of Mayfair’s most exciting restaurants StreetXO is collaborating with Mayfair Art Weekend for a one off event on Saturday 30 June celebrating the area’s finest culture and cuisine.

The Mayfair Modern Art and Lunch Experience will take guests on a guided tour of some of the area’s most interesting contemporary galleries, followed by a delicious seven-course lunch at StreetXO with wine and cocktails. The tour will be hosted by gallerist and co-founder of Art Dubai, John Martin and starts in the Academicians’ Room at the Royal Academy before moving on to the Stephen Friedman Gallery, Annely Juda Fine Art and then Maddox Gallery with a talk from the space’s managing director and prominent art critic James Nicholls.

StreetXO is the brainchild of Madrileño Michelin-starred chef David Muñoz, and is one of London’s most exciting restaurants. The menu combines Spanish and Asian influences in devastatingly delicious and innovative dishes such as Pekinese dumplings of pig’s ear, strawberry hoisin, aioli and pickles and the steamed XO club sandwich of suckling pig, ricotta, quail egg and chilli mayonnaise – both of which will be served to diners on 30 June as part of the seven-course feast.

Mayfair Art Weekend is an annual event where the galleries, artists and auction houses of Mayfair and St James open their doors to the public to celebrate the long tradition of creativity in the area. The weekend also comprises talks, special events and workshops, and this year will be marking the 250th anniversary of the Royal Academy along with the chance to explore the gallery’s new extension.

The Mayfair Modern Art and Lunch Experience takes place from 10am–3pm, Saturday 30 June and costs £90 per person. To reserve your place contact sky@streetxo.co.uk or call 020 3096 7555. For further details visit streetxo.com and mayfairartweekend.com
