Paint the town: London Art Week

Get a rare glimpse into the private art galleries of Mayfair and St James at the London Art Week 2018

Each summer, private galleries in Mayfair and St James’ open their doors to more than 40 leading international art dealers, who offer selling exhibitions, events and talks as part of London Art Week. This year the exhibitions coincide with the Old Masters sales at major auction houses, with highlights including the rare Portrait of a Venetian Nobleman (above) by Sir Peter Paul Rubens up for auction at Sotheby’s. A wide range of art will be featured, including classical antiquities, renaissance textiles, sculptures and modern artworks.
