Longines reinterprets one of its earliest dive watches in eye-catching bronze

For the latest addition to its Heritage family, Longines has looked to one of its earliest dive watches from the 1960s for inspiration. Here, the handsome, vintage-influenced Legend Diver has been given a bold makeover in bronze, elegantly contrasted with a green-lacquered dial.

Bronze as a material for watches continues to grow in popularity and for good reason. As it ages, it develops an intriguing natural patina that changes and grows with the wearer, making each piece truly unique. Inside the bronze and titanium case of this latest Longines lies an automatic movement equipped with a silicon balance-spring for enhanced precision.

While this sophisticated watch is more suited to everyday wear, it nods to its underwater roots with a number of details. This includes luminous hands and hour marks coated with Super-Luminova and clear Arabic numerals, offering enhanced legibility in all conditions. And just like the original it also features a screw-down caseback, featuring the emblem of a diver.

Completing the vintage look is the brown leather strap with beige topstitching, while it also comes with a sportier green Nato-style strap that can be easily changed using the tool provided with the watch.
