All the time in the world

Combining effortless design and technical prowess, Jaeger-LeCoultre’s latest Polaris collection takes global timekeeping to elegant new levels

The original Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox Polaris became a 1960s design icon. An innovative and avant-garde diving watch with alarm, it represented a spirit of bold adventure that was the inspiration for the new Polaris collection, launched last year. This range of elegant, sporty watches, all with in-house mechanical movements, have a subtly vintage expression that makes for a robust, cosmopolitan and contemporary accessory for an active lifestyle.

The latest addition to the collection is the Polaris Geographic WT (for ‘world time’), perfect for the globetrotter or armchair traveler, with its window on the world through the 24 time zones visible on a flange, adjusted by the crown at 10 o’clock. The watch blends the two signature Polaris colours with a blue subtly turning to black, and is decorated with three finishes: an opaline base for the city disk, a sun-rayed sub dial housing the calendar at 2 o’clock, the second time zone at 6 o’clock, the power reserve at 10 o’clock, and the grained finishing for the case back. Jaeger-LeCoultre’s effortless design seamlessly harmonises all of the elements. Together, its technical excellence, with sophisticated complications, and urbane contemporary aesthetic represent the hallmark of Jaeger-LeCoultre creations. This covetable model is available in a limited edition of 250 pieces, and is available exclusively at Jaeger-LeCoultre boutiques, including the London flagship boutique at 13 Old Bond Street. £12,500; jaeger-lecoultre.com
