Learn the secrets of making the perfect festive treat

Learning new skills is something Londoners seem completely obsessed with at the moment. Introductory courses to spoon carving, pot making or life drawing are in demand as busy city dwellers try and find creative pursuits outside of work.

The latest and most luxuriously festive iteration of this comes from the experts at Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester, a suitably indulgent place to start Christmas celebrations. On Saturday 14 December the restaurant is hosting a Chocolate and Mint Yule Log Masterclass for a small group of lucky budding pastry chefs.

Under the expert eye of executive chef Jean-Philippe Blondet and pastry chef Thibault Hauchard participants will learn the step-by-step process of making the perfect yule log along with insider tips on how to adapt the original with new flavours and decorations. The class could also include instruction on making ganache, lime gel, mint pesto and chocolate shells to really take the classic Christmas dessert to the next level.

After creating the perfect yule log, guests will also be able to indulge in a slice or two behind the scenes in the thrilling surrounds of the kitchens of Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester. A delicious start to the festive season.

The Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester Yule Log Masterclass will take place on Saturday 14th December 2019, 9am – 12pm, priced at £250 per person.
