The Lodge d’Argent has returned to The City

’Tis the season for the capital’s bars and restaurants to transform into winter snugs. Lodge d’Argent returns to Bank (coqdargent.co.uk) with an alpine-inspired rooftop, complete with two chalet-style huts, a ‘ski cube’ displaying skiing clips, and ski-themed cocktails. Above the Social Eating House in Poland Street, Jason Atherton’s The Blind Pig (socialeatinghouse.com) has been adorned with fairy lights, mistletoe, plush blankets and cushions to create an escape from the hustle and bustle. Relax with a Christmas pudding-themed cocktail and a loin of lamb to ramp up the hygge. Gin aficionados should head to Spanish tapas restaurant Camino Bankside’s (camino.uk.com) Winter Sipping Bar, to sample a hot gin-gerbread Sipsmith cocktail while wrapped in a blanket and lit by fairy lights.
